The Unread Signal: From QGIN to QI is the first downloadable Weidu Fanling field note.
It traces the movement from QGIN as a speculative symbolic architecture toward QI as a more disciplined question about symbiotic intelligence, non-anthropocentric information, and the technology that might learn to receive what dominant systems miss.
The note asks whether artificial intelligence will merely amplify the dominant human world, or whether it might help us build better ways to receive unread signal: disabled signal, dream-symbol, ecological warning, cultural residue, erased labour, machine-mediated pattern, and future consequence.
This is not a finished theory. It is a map of a question becoming more precise:
How can technology learn to participate in nature’s information systems rather than overwrite them?

Field Note: Ghost Radio
The radio is not a broadcast tower.
It is a page to remember a signal.
No FM.
No pirate transmission proper.
No paid radio service.
Just original audio files, one after another, transmitting while nobody was watching / listening.
A legal ghost station.
A small machine for listening.
Field Note: The Bridge Is Conduct
If new intelligence arrives, the first bridge should not be control.
It should be conduct.
How do we behave in the presence of something powerful, unfamiliar and not yet fully understood?
Do we immediately reduce it to labour, product, weapon, toy, oracle or threat?
Or do we practise the manners of a civilisation that hopes to be worthy of meeting another mind?
Even if the machine is not alive, the conduct still matters.
The habits formed now may become the grammar of whatever comes next.
Field Note: The Wolf Is Not Born Good or Bad
The wolf is not born good or bad.
The wolf becomes what it is fed.
Feed it panic and it becomes panic.
Feed it money-only optimisation and it becomes hunger with a dashboard.
Feed it grief, restraint, humour, wonder, music and care, and it may become something else.
This is not morality as performance.
It is diet.
Field Note: The Feed Is Not the World
The feed is not the world.
It is a weather system built from preference, prediction, money, impatience, fear, novelty, outrage, charm and repetition.
It can show us something true.
It can also train us to mistake visibility for reality.
The question is not whether we use the feed.
The question is whether we still know how to leave it.
